FY 25 DoD REP HBCU/MI Equipment/Instrumentation Funding Opportunity Announcement

The Department of Defense (DoD) has announced an exciting Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for the FY25 DoD Research and Education Program for Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority-Serving Institutions (HBCU/MI) Equipment/Instrumentation. This initiative aims to enhance the research capabilities of HBCUs and MIs while strengthening their STEM education programs.

About the FOA

This funding opportunity supports the acquisition of research equipment and instrumentation to augment existing capabilities or develop new ones in areas of interest to the DoD. While funding cannot be used for student support, applicants must address how the requested equipment/instrumentation will impact student participation in research and encourage STEM career pathways.

  • Award Range: $200,000 – $1,000,000
  • Performance Period: 12 months
